Dawn Patrol...730AM Early Tram

The moon was setting as the Sun came up.

Dave says Utah snow feels like a featherbed.

Steve says...snows for skiing not sleeping.

     January 22nd, 2008 Snowbird, UT

Dave, Kyle, Steve, and Rob from team Alpine, left Olympia Monday morning expecting a day of skiing on Tuesday.  However, they were not expecting to have an hour and a half delay due to snowfall at Salt Lake City's airport.  Turns out the resort they were headed to was receiving huge amount of snow (22inches to be exact).  So after a slight delay they arrived at Snowbird late Monday afternoon.

Tuesday morning they woke up bright and early, grabbed breakfast and went for the early tram.  As they arrived at the summit, they realized the early morning wakeup was well worth it.  Hardly a cloud in the sky with the sun peaking up as the moon was going down.  Once they had their warm up groomer run, they went for the freshies from the day before.  Lets just say Utah has some great snow.  The sun continued to rise high into the sky and the clouds were no wear in sight.  Bluebird powder days in Utah are impossible to beat.

Steve loves his head plants

Their was plenty of snow for everyone.
