1000 TICKETS + 100 PRIZES = A MILLION SMILES Again!
In the Spring of last year, Alpine Experience, in cooperation with MANY, MANY volunteers from the PARC foundation and our local parks departments, held a raffle to raise money for youth outdoor programs throughout Thurston County. All of YOU responded by buying ALL the tickets. We sold 1000 tickets, raising $5000 for these programs!
So if it worked once- let’s do it again! We are proud to unveil the Spring PARC Foundation Raffle for Kids, once agin. For just $5, you get a chance to win one of one HUNDRED prizes we will be drawing at our National Trails Day work party on June 2nd. Even better, there’s only 1000 tickets available. Simple math- a ONE in TEN chance of winning a prize- and all prizes will be worth at least $10.
The grand prize is simple- $500 to spend at Alpine Experience or the Bike Stand. Other prizes will include all sorts of outdoor gear, from sandals to packs to stoves to … well, lots of things. 100 prizes all told! This year, we will also have prized donated by many of our local partner businesses.
Tickets will be on sale April 1st, and sales will continue until we are sold out or June 2nd. You can purchase tickets in store, or you will see ticket sellers at upcoming community events, the Farmer’s Market, Artswalk, and more … in fact, we could use some help with that! If you’d like to volunteer to help sell tickets, just contact us at the store, and we can check some out to you. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the PARC Foundation, and will be used to support youth outdoor programs throughout Thurston County.
On June 2nd, which is also National Trails Day, we will be co-hosting a Trail Maintenance work party with Lacey Parks Department and the Woodland Trail Greenway Association. After the trail maintenance, we will have a barbecue picnic for all volunteers, and draw the 100 winners. We are sincerely hoping we can make drawing 100 names somehow NOT monotonous. Perhaps lots of cheering and singing to entertain?
Needless to say, do two things right NOW. First, mark your calendar for June 2nd and plan to volunteer with Team Alpine on National Trails Day. A free lunch, and a chance to work on the Woodland Trail, a true community treasure!
Second, come by some raffle tickets. Lots of raffle tickets. Our local parks departments have seen budget cuts like never before, and yet they still continue to offer amazing programming. To continue many of the outdoor programs, they need our support. The 20 raffle tickets you buy can do so much!
