All right gear-heads, time to clean out your closets once again. Last year’s Used Gear Sale was so successful, we’re doing it again. Bring in all your old camping, hiking, paddling, cycling, and general outdoor gear for consignment on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, April 11 and 12, 2012.
Our expert buyers will help you appraise and price it. We consign all the goods into our warehouse, which will be turned into a nifty retail store for the following two days. Remember, this sale happens at the OLYMPIC ROOM, formally Olympic Outfitters.
Then call all your friends and tell them to come and shop the sale April 13 and 14. It will be open from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM on Friday, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday. All sales are final, but this is your chance to get a great deal on some gently used gear.
Sunday is when you come back to pick up any unsold items you left with us. If you want to be paid by check, the Alpine Experience will receive a 30% commission on the selling price all items. If instead you want to turn you old gear into new, we will take NO commission and instead give you the full value of your gear in gift cards for use at Alpine Experience or The Bike Stand!
Want to SELL your gear?
to sell old equipment, you need to CLEAN it first. Anything dirty will not be accepted. It also needs to be functioning. Anything broken, missing parts, etc. will not be consigned.
We will be OPEN to receive gear on Wednesday & Thursday, April 11 & 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Gear may NOT be dropped off at any other time, and MUST be dropped off at the Olympic Room, 407 4th Avenue, formerly Olympic Outfitters. Our expert appraisers will work with you to establish a selling price for each item. We will tag each item with a price and an item number, associated with your name. We will then merchandise and assort like items into a mini-store within our warehouse.
We will OPEN for you to pick up your unsold equipment on Sunday, the 25th from 11:00 AM to 5;00 PM. Any gear not claimed in the specified time frame becomes the property of TAE.
When you consign, you will choose how to be paid for sold gear. If you would like to receive a check, TAE receives 30% commission, and the balance will be mailed to you by April 25. If you would like a GIFT CARD to The Alpine Experience or the Bike Stand, there is no commission, and your gift card may be picked up on April 15th or later.
